Course Overview

This Level 3 qualification equips students with the knowledge, understanding, and practical skills needed to work confidently and competently in a variety of social care settings.

Through a series of mandatory units, students will develop a strong foundation in key areas of social care practice, including person-centred support, safety and wellbeing, and professional responsibilities. The qualification is designed to strengthen both theoretical understanding and hands-on skills, preparing learners for roles within the social care sector or for progression into further study.

Course Requirements

4 GCSEs at grade 3 or above (including English and/or maths).

What you will Learn

Develop the skills and confidence to deliver safe, person-centred care across the social care sector. You will explore communication, safeguarding, care planning, equality and rights, mental health, teamwork, and infection control-alongside core insights from psychology, sociology, anatomy and end-of-life care.

Put your learning into action through an external work placement in real settings such as residential care, supported living, community services, day centres, and clinical environments.
