We’re so excited to welcome you to the Trafford and Stockport College Group community! Whether you’re returning to education, upskilling for a new career, or learning something just for you, we’re here to support your journey every step of the way.

This year, we’ve made enrolling easier than ever. Enrolment is now fully online – no paper forms, no queues, and no need to come to campus until your course begins. It’s quick, simple, and designed to fit around your life. Some courses may require an assessment – the form will guide you.

Please note, the form doesn’t save progress, so have everything ready before you begin.

How to Enrol

1. Find Your Course

Use the course finder on our website to choose what you want to study.

Courses will be labelled as:

  • Enrol Now! – Complete the enrolment form and we’ll process it within 5 working days.
  • Apply Now! – You’ll be invited to a taster session or assessment before enrolling.
  • Enquire Now! – The course is full, but we’ll contact you if a space opens up.

2. Complete the Online Enrolment Form

Takes around 5 minutes. You’ll upload documents as you go. A checklist is shown on the first page – read it carefully and prepare your files in advance.

3. Follow the 7 Simple Pages

  1. Personal Details
    – Name, date of birth, address (with postcode lookup), and equal opportunities info.
    – Upload a passport-style photo (shoulders up, plain background).
  2. Emergency Contact
    – Add at least one contact (name, phone, email).
    – Optional second contact.
  3. Education History
    – Last school/college, GCSE English & Maths grades, and any Level 2/3 qualifications.
    – A helpful grid explains qualification levels.
  4. Employment Status
    – Tell us if you’re working, unemployed, or on benefits.
    – If employed, include your income – this helps us assess fee remission eligibility.
  5. Fee Assessment
    – Choose how you’ll pay:
    • I have fee remission
    • I’m paying
      • My employer is paying
      • I’m using a student loan (for eligible Level 3+ courses)
    – If needed, our finance team will contact you.
  6. Upload Your Evidence
    – Upload ID, proof of income, and residency documents (if not UK resident for 3+ years).
  7. Final Declaration
    – Confirm your details, declare any criminal convictions, and sign the form electronically.

After You Submit

Our enrolment team will review your form within 5 working days.
If we need more info, we’ll email you from enrolments@tscg.ac.uk – please respond quickly. Once approved, you’ll get a confirmation email.

Before Your Course Starts

Around 7 days before your course, you’ll receive:
• Start date and time
• Campus location
• Where to collect your College ID badge

For learners aged 19 and above, please bring the following items: 

  • A form of officially recognised ID (e.g. Passport, National Insurance Card, Driving Licence or Bank Card).  
  • If your gross income is less than £25,000 a year, please bring with you a wage slip, bank statement or employment contract as proof of salary dated within 3 months of course start date, or evidence of being unemployed and on state benefit, as you may be able to receive support with cost of your course.  If evidence isn’t provided at enrolment, we will not be able to complete your enrolment.  

If you are aged 19 or over at enrolment you may need to pay tuition fees.  Financial support may be available, and we can provide information about this at enrolment. 

Should you wish to change the course you have initially applied for, please feel free to contact our Admissions Team  admissions@tscg.ac.uk. Please include your full name and preferred site in your message to ensure a prompt response. 

As some courses are extremely popular, please contact our Admissions Team including your full name, Student ID number and course title, this will allow them to withdraw the offer.

We understand the challenges brought about by the cost of living, and we aim to support our learners through this. To provide you with the necessary assistance, you can access all Funding and Finance support section of the website.  Funding & Finance Support

Bursary and Learner Support Funds: Regardless of your age, if your household income is under £40,000 per year (gross) then you could be eligible for support from the bursary or learner support fund.  Our funds can provide assistance towards the cost of equipment, uniforms, and travel, unless you are on an Apprenticeship or HE (Higher Education) programme.  

Applications to the bursary/learner support fund will be available at enrolment or can be sent out by post. 

 

Here are some additional details regarding the available bursaries: 

19+ Learner Support Fund: Students aged 19+ can apply for support towards the cost of essential equipment, uniforms, travel, trips and childcare whilst on the college course. 

Advanced Learner Loan Bursary Fund: Students who have taken out the Advanced Learner Loan to cover the course fees can apply for support towards the cost of essential equipment, uniforms, travel, trips and childcare whilst on the college course.
