Mathematics is a language that is spoken and understood by people all over the world and is used to solve problems in every field of study, from science and engineering to finance and technology.
Studying Maths at Cheadle College covers a wide range of topics and modules. You will learn about algebra, calculus, statistics, geometry, and you will learn how to analyse data, interpret mathematical models, and develop solutions to complex problems.
You also have the option to study Further Maths which covers mathematical concepts and tools which are not included in A Level Maths but are used widely in Physics & Engineering courses at university and introduced quickly at the start of a Mathematics degree, such as matrices and complex numbers. It introduces topics which form the basis of the study of pure mathematics at university. It provides far more depth to your study of mechanics and introduces you to Discrete Maths.
